Cybersecurity at Sunset: The Success of the 1st Edition of Sunset Tech Talks

On June 24th, we traded our offices and meeting rooms for an idyllic riverside setting. Space In Margem, in Belém, was the chosen stage for the debut of IDW’s Sunset Tech Talks.

This exclusive event was designed to bring together customers and partners in a relaxed atmosphere, with a clear purpose: to discuss the essentials for the future and sustainability of modern organizations.

IBM Storage & Cyber Resilience Spotlight

With the Tagus River as a backdrop, the highlight of the event was a technical session led by our CTO, Pedro Torradinhas, alongside António Esculca, a specialist from Arrow ECS Portugal.

In an informal yet incisive conversation, they explored IBM Storage & Cyber Resilience. In a world where cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, it was made clear that debating technological resilience and business continuity strategies is no longer just a technical requirement, but a management imperative.

The main topics addressed included:

• The importance of immutable storage as a last line of defense;
• Rapid recovery strategies to minimize downtime;
• Ransomware protection integrated directly at the storage level.
